We came for an overnight stay a few weeks ago for our Anniversary, and stayed in a Glamping Pod. It was absolutely brilliant. The owners were so lovely and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. The facilities are meticulously clean, and we were also given a basket full of cooking equipment to use during our stay.(something we've never had before when we've camped/glanced anywhere else). The showers were lovely and hot and I loved the fact that the whole site is based on an Eco Friendly vibe! We are coming back again with the children this weekend because we loved it so much. The views are out of this world too, as was the beautiful starry sky at night. I would definitely recommend this Farm. Stunning .
Fantastic little gem we absolutely love this beautiful site so much we have been twice in a month! Immaculate facilities, great sized pitches with stunning countryside views - not to mention the lovely farm eggs in the morning. Immaculate campsite, limited number of pitches in a lovely big field which means even when fully booked youll have a ton of space. Owners were great, kids got to meet lots of animals on the small holding. Facilities were spotless and the location is superb.
My friends and I planned a camping / Fishing trip over the bank holiday weekend. Every campsite I phoned up only wanted mixed sex couples, which I thought was very rude. There were only 4 males in our late 20's. After hunting around the net, we found Big Barn Camping. Phoned them up and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Very friendly and it made us feel welcomed before we even got there. On entrance to the farm they are selling half a dozen eggs for 1 from an assortment of animals they had. It was a lovely touch. Once we pitched our tents up the owner wondered up to make sure we were OK. Again, super friendly. Two of us being seasoned campers we had everything we needed.The there are two eco friendly toilets on site, these are interesting. You flush them with sawdust! I loved the idea and they were very environment friendly. Very clean too. The shower block is what really impressed me, hence the pictures. The showers are bigger than what you you usually get in a hotel! Nice and hot with plenty of pressure. I was very impressed with these as they were real contained showers, not just a shower head on a wall that has been there for years! I was very impressed.The other part I wanted to add was the recycling. They have recycling bins for everything! The owners really care about being green which is great! I loved the place and will be returning on my next camping trip with the misses later in the summer.
This is a fantastic campsite with amazing views. Lots of spaces between pitches. The pods were beautiful and had everything you needed. Toilets were spotlessly clean and the showers toasty hot. The Big Barn was so lovely at night with twinkly fairy lights. Hosts were super friendly. All in all a fantastic weekend... Will definitely be back.
