Brilliant fun def one of the best for West Wales
I was recommended this trail by Harry the Bastard who isn't actually a bad person, especially considering he told me about this route. I've been shrinking recently, probably due to stress on my spine from a recent bagpipe holiday, so this trail was a useful return to my mountain biking though I found the whistling noises from my earhorns confusing the trail itself was great. Cool off at the end with a friend who cools you down.
Good variation in trails from healthy beginner, to seriously fit athlete. The signage can be tad confusing as some routes return on same path, so you have signs for the same route pointing on opposite directions If it's been raining over a few days, some sections get super muddy but always rideable. If it's been raining a couple of hours, there will be a lot of surface water, but at least you'll stay clean! Because the trails tend to regroup at common nodes, usually on the fire road by the rivers, there is a huge scope to join different grade sections together and basically make a custom loop.There are no shops nearby, a small community shop in Brechfa itself. Best supply up in town before coming.
